Description

Overview

Since the Yates’ Memo – which necessitated stronger enforcement against inpiduals – was issued by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), there has been a significant increase in settlements and enforcement against inpidual physicians. It is important that compliance personnel, billing and coding staff, and physicians know the details of these enforcement actions, so they can strengthen their organization’s compliance program.

During this webinar, our expert speaker Dr. C. J. Wolf will walk you through the subject of compliance enforcement against physician practices, explaining various concepts in detail, going through multiple case studies, and providing useful information which will help you understand compliance risk, and prevent settlements and enforcement against your practice.

Topics under discussion include:  Overview of the Yates’ Memo; purpose of the Yates’ Memo, and the effect it’s having on physician practices; a recent physician settlement case due to medical billing practices; a recent physician settlement case due to financial relationships with vendors and business partners; how a physician practice can strengthen its medical billing compliance program; how a physician practice can strengthen its financial relationships compliance program, and many others.

After the webinar, you will have an understanding of the compliance risk physician practices face of late, and you will be aware of the methods you can use to prevent settlements and enforcement against your practice. All webinar attendees will be provided handouts which will help them remember and make the most of what they have learnt during the training session.
