Overview

Guidelines for Teaching Physicians, Interns and Residents

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS’) proposed 2019 Evaluation and Management (E/M) documentation changes will significantly alter how you code, document and audit your claims. Unless you are prepared, your reimbursement could be at significant risk.

Although the goal of these changes is to streamline how E/M services are processed by reducing documentation requirements, they could also put you at increased liability, risk and further complicate your medical communications and ability to get paid. The answer is to be prepared and to modify your processes before the new rule go-live date.

But where should you start? Preparation starts with the right information and knowledge at your disposal. This webinar by expert speaker Jan Rasmussen, PCS, ACS-GI, ACS-OB will offer some practical, easy-to-understand advice and help you understand what the CMS proposed 2019 E/M documentation changes will mean to you. It will help you stop reimbursement reductions by evaluating your billing process now.
